Honoring the Lineage of the Work
Shamanic healing has always been a lineage-based practice, passed from teacher to student through study, mentorship, and lived experience.
Over the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of studying with several respected teachers in shamanic healing, intuitive development, and spiritual practice. Their teachings helped shape my understanding of how emotional, energetic, and mythic patterns influence our lives.
While my work today reflects my own experience with clients and my personal relationship with spirit, it has been deeply informed by the guidance and wisdom of those who came before me.
I share this work with gratitude for the teachers, traditions, and spiritual practices that helped illuminate the path.
Below you’ll find links and information about some of the people who have contributed to my training and development. If you feel drawn to explore their work further, I encourage you to do so.
kimmapii school of shamanism
Marv and Shanon Harwood facilitate an intimate and broad energy medicine program. Marv and Shanon were both trained by Joe and Josephine Crowshoe of the Blackfoot Tribe in Alberta. I met Marv at my very first Four Winds Training, and later met Shanon in Alberta at one of their Shaman’s Altar trainings. They offer three streams of shamanism—the animistic (Blackfoot), the energetic (South American), and the destinistic (working directly with organizing archetypes of our reality). Their school is located in Alberta, Canada. If you are looking for an intimate and deep learning experience, I recommend Marv and Shanon’s classes and individual mentoring.
The Four Winds
My first shamanic based energy medicine school. I highly recommend Alberto Villoldo's books for a great introduction into Peruvian (both mountain and jungle) based shamanism. The Four Winds Society offers lectures, trainings, and healings around the world.
Lauren HUBELE
Lauren Hubele has started the first Gemmo forest in the United States in Keene, New Hampshire. Gemmos, a magical plant medicine originating in Romania, are made from the stem cells (the buds) of the tree or shrub. Although Gemmos were first used for acute care at higher doses, Lauren has put together a system based on polyvagal theory that uses Gemmos in microdoses to calm the nervous system and enhance a sense of safety so that other healing modalities can go deeper. Gemmos are particulary helpful for my clients, who tend to have sensitive nervous systems. I first got to know Gemmos by watching one of my cats with a digestive issue get better within just a few weeks. I of course had to learn more. In 2026 Lauren started her Gemmo School. I am among the first cohort to be certified through her program at the end of 2026.
Katherine Fauvre
Katherine, in my opinion, is one of the world’s leading experts on the Enneagram. She has decades of study and research to back up her knowledge of the Ennegram from its modern beginnings. She noticed and solidified TriType—the idea that each of us has three preferred types, a head, a heart, and a gut type, but we lead with one. Katherine has also studied extensively other typing systems. I found her knowledge and life coaching over the years extremely enlightening. Katherine is a Type 8, one of the more rare leader types, and was instrumental in helping me personally raise a Type 8. If you’re interested in learning more about the Enneagram and how it can help you understand your own motivations, I highly recommend her work.
Sonia Choquette
I first heard of Sonia Choquette from reading Julia Camerson’s the Artist’s Way books way back in the late 90’s. Sonia’s guidance through The Psychic Pathway and Your Heart’s Desire transformed my life in a huge way, shooting me off in the unexpected direction of intuitive and shaman. I highly recommend her books for a practical and down to earth guidance in the spiritual realm. I had the pleasure of attending Sonia’s first large training in Chicago years ago. Sonia offers readings and trainings online and in person.
Biogeometry
Dr. Ibrahim Karim developed BioGeometry, or the study and measurement of Life Force. His knowledge of French Medical Radietheisia combined with Egyptian knowledge and being a trained architect allowed him create a design language that takes into account the unseen Life Force. Enhancing Life Force in buildings before and after construction, and mitigating modern elements such as dirty EMFs, cell towers, and earth grids, allows for the creation of sacred spaces. The theory behind BioGeometry fits perfectly with the shamanic perspective of reality. I first heard of BioGeometry from Dr. Robert Gilbert of the Vesica Institute.
The VESICA INSTITUTE For Wholistic studies
The late Dr. Robert Gilbert developed the Vesica Institute, which is really a spiritual school of knowledge and wisdom for the western seeker that does not have a traditional background. I was lucky enough to take my first two BioGeometry trainings from Dr. Gilbert before he passed away in 2025. If you want to learn more about crystals, minerals, and gemostones, spiritual traditions like the Rosicrucians, sacred geometry, vibrational healing, please visit Vesica. All his knowledged is available and preserved for us. I highly recommend Vesica, and wish I had enough time to take all their classes, most of which are online. Also, BioGeometry foundation and advanced training are offered through Vesica as well.
Coach For Life
My spirit-based coaching school. If you are interested in becoming a life coach, and you operate from spirit, you'll love this school and their community!
Gangaji
If you desire ultimate freedom from suffering, if you desire truth more than anything else, Gangaji may be your teacher. She has a wonderful sense of humor and the words for what in the end cannot be put into words. I have found her CD's incredibly helpful in releasing myself from my own suffering.
